The Advisor
Yalin is an experienced technology Venture Capitalist with over a decade of Corporate VC experience. He recently acquired the CFA's Climate Risk, Valuation, and Investing Certificate to support VC portfolios with Climate Change goals/requirements.
He began his VC career in 2012 at Alesta CVC Fund as the Investment Manager and invested in seed stage tech startups for over three years. Then for almost eight years, he worked as the Investment Director at Inventram, the high-tech Corporate VC investment arm of Koc Holding, which is the Turkey's largest industrial conglomerate.
During his tenure at Inventram, he helped and funded many scientist-entrepreneurs, nurtured their projects, built patent portfolios, and finally spearheaded the establishment of two med-tech startups; Stoparkinson in USA (a wearable device that alleviates Parkinson’s symptoms - www.stoparkinson.com) and Tarabios in Turkey (a mobile blood coagulation monitoring device - www.Tarabios.com). Under his leadership, both startups received significant funding and achieved remarkable progress. Left Inventram in 2023 to start his own VC fund with his partners, unfortunately due to economic/various drawbacks he had to quit in 2024 to start his advisory business.
At Inventram, from A.I. to nano-technology, he identified tech, and closed a total equity investment of $23 million, seed to series A, across USA and Turkey. His is adept at end to end investment management. He is also competent in portfolio management and mentoring founders.
In his early career, he had worked as Business Development and Corporate Finance roles across various industries. He holds a n MBA degree from Case Western Reserve University in OH, USA and a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from Bogazici University (#1) in Turkey.
